How To Select A Good Wiper?
According to some safety surveys, the traffic accident rate caused by driving in rainy days and aging of wiper blades is several times higher than that in normal times. On the one hand, the use frequency of the wiper is quite high, especially in the rainy areas in the south, the number of wipers per year will be tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands; On the other hand, the working environment of the wiper blade is very bad, and it faces high temperature exposure, cold winter, dust, acid rain, corrosion and wind erosion, so the working life of the wiper blade is also very limited. At present, there are basically two types of wipers: one is the traditional leisure type, which is the most common wiper in general, with three to four sections, which are adjusted by the driver according to the rain and sight conditions. Another kind of raindrop induction type, which has been mostly used in medium and advanced bus in recent years. There are six things to pay attention to when selecting a good pair of wiper blade.
First, find out what specification of wiper balde your car uses. You can refer to the vehicle manual and see the wiper model indicated above. Generally speaking, wiper blades are sold together with metal support rods, and few blades are sold alone. If you are not clear, ask the parts store clerk to help you identify.
Second, pay attention to whether the way of connecting the support rod to the wiper rocker arm matches, because some support arms are fixed to the rocker arm with screws, so remember to pay attention when buying.
Third, pull up the wiper and touch the cleaned rubber wiper blade with your fingers to check whether there is any damage and how elastic the rubber blade is. If the blade is aged, hardened and cracked, the wiper blade is unqualified.
Fourth, during the test, place the wiper switch at various speed positions to check whether the wiper at different speeds maintains a certain speed. Especially in intermittent operation, pay attention to whether the wiper blades maintain a certain speed when moving.
Fifth, check the wiper status and whether the wiper support rod swings unevenly or fails to wipe.If the following three conditions occur, wiper blade is unqualified. The swing is not smooth, and the wiper does not run normally. The contact surface of the rubber and the glass surface can not fully fit, resulting in wiping residue. After wiping, the glass surface presents a water film state, and there are fine stripes, fog and linear residues on the glass.
Sixth, during the test, pay attention to whether there is abnormal noise in the motor. Especially, when the wiper motor hums and does not rotate, it indicates that the mechanical transmission part of the wiper is rusted or jammed. At this time, immediately turn off the wiper switch to prevent burning the motor.
